Come To Me

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart ; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and burden light” Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus believed the old testament scriptures were more than a Jewish institution. He believed the bible was a book about Himself. He in fact states “You search the scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf. But you do not want to come to me to have life.” John 5:39-40 and “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:17

"But the LORD'S messenger called to him from heaven, "Abraham, Abraham!" "Yes, Lord," he answered "Do not lay your hand on the boy," said the messenger. "Do not do the least thing to him.
