This Evangelization Letter, "COME AND SEE", is available for anyone to copy and distribute.  You may make as many copies as you like.

COME AND SEE

This is an invitation to attend Mass at a Roman Catholic Church.  “And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18

Since we are all called to share in this “Bread of Life”, any one is welcome to attend Mass at a Roman Catholic Church, and if you so choose, take steps towards becoming a Catholic, even if you are not a Christian.

Church attendance is both obligatory and beneficial:  Public worship allows everyone to come together to strengthen our faith and community.  It helps us to keep the commandment “Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.”  It helps you to lead a Christ-centred life.  When this happens, you will notice changes in your life.  Many have experienced an unbelievable shifting of life circumstances.

If you haven’t been to church for a while or have never been; you are welcome to “Come and See.”

In the Roman Catholic Church, we have what are called sacraments.  There are seven of which the first is baptism.  You can talk to the Priest to learn more about the sacraments.  He is usually available before or after Mass or you can even call a Parish and make an appointment.  For Mass times, call the Roman Catholic Church closest to you.  You will find them in the Yellow Pages under “Churches.”  You can also go online at masstimes.org.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved..... Mark 16:16

It’s important to point out that in order to receive holy communion, an individual had to have been baptized and properly prepared.

Our Lord said “I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.” Luke 15:7

It may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but don’t be discouraged.  Keep in mind this bible verse which epitomizes truth and love:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” John 3:16

It is also important to Pray.  We do this by praising God and asking him for guidance in all we do.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

COME AND SEE

But Nathanael said to him, Can anything good come from Nazareth?  Philip said to him, Come and see. John 1:46

He commanded them: Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.  Mark 15:15-16
