Our Father

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those
Who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with thee;
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be

Glory Be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
Is now,
And ever shall be,
World without end.

Amen.

The Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins.
Save us from the fires of Hell;
And lead all souls into Heaven,
especially those in most need of Thy mercy.
Amen.

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy;
Hail, our life,
Our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry,
Poor banished children of Eve:
To thee do we sigh,
Mourning and weeping
In this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious Advocate,
Thine eyes of mercy towards us
And, after this our exile,
Show unto us
The blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary*

"I, _______, a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my baptism: I renounce forever Satan, and all his pomps and works, and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
"In the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose thee this day as my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul; my goods, both interior and exterior; and even the value of all of my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity."

Amen.

Grace Before Meals

Bless us, 0 Lord,
And these Thy gifts,
Which we are about to receive
From Thy bounty through Christ
Our Lord.

Amen.

Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
The Father, the Almighty;
Maker of heaven and earth,
Of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
The only Son of God,
Eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
True God from true God,
Begotten, not made,
One in Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven:

All bow during these two lines:

By the power of the Holy Spirit
He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
In fulfillment of the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven
And is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
To judge the living and the dead,
And his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Lord, the giver of life,
Who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
And the life of the world to come. Amen.

Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God,
The Father almighty;
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived
By the power of the Holy Spirit
And born of the Virgin Mary;
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge
The living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy Catholic Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting.

Amen.

Act of Contrition

(back to confession)

My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong and falling to do good,
I have sinned against you
Whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help,
To do penance, to sin no more,
And to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.
In his name, my God, have mercy.

Amen.

Morning Offering

O Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works,
joys and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions
of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular
for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Amen.

Morning Prayer

I adore Thee, O my God,

and I love Thee with all my heart.

I give Thee thanks that Thou hast created me,

made me a Christian, and preserved me this night.

I offer Thee the actions of this day; grant that all

of them may be according to Thy holy Will,

 and for Thy greater glory.

Save me from sin and from all evil.

Let Thy grace be always with me.
Amen.

Evening Prayer

O my God, at the end of this day

I thank you most heartily for all the graces

I have received from you. I am sorry that I have

not made a better use of them. I am sorry for all the sins

I have committed against you. Forgive me,

O my God, and graciously protect me this night.

Blessed Virgin Mary, my dear heavenly mother,

take me under your protection. St. Joseph,

my dear guardian angel, and all you saints

of God, pray for me. Sweet Jesus, have

pity on all poor sinners, and save

them from hell. Have mercy

 on the suffering souls

 in purgatory.

Prayer to your Guardian Angel

Angel of God,
My guardian dear,
To whom God's love
Commits me here.
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard,
To rule and guide. Amen.

A Prayer for Employment

God, our Father, I turn to you seeking

your divine help and guidance as I look for suitable employment.
I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path,

and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest.

I wish to use the gifts and talents you have given me,

but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment.
Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather

grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to you with

praise and thanksgiving

 for your gracious assistance.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen

Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit, and fill the hearts

of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire

of Your Divine Love. Send forth Your Spirit

and they shall be created, and You shall renew

the face of the earth. Oh God, Who by the

light of the Holy Spirit instructed the hearts

of the faithful, Grant, that by the same

Spirit we may be truly wise

and ever rejoice in His consolation.

 We ask this through Christ

 Our Lord.

 Amen.

The Miracle Prayer

Lord, Jesus, I come before you,

just as I am. I am sorry for my sins, I repent

of my sins, please forgive me. In your name,

I forgive all others for what they have done

against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits

and all their works. I give you my entire self.

Lord Jesus, now and forever, I invite you into

my life Jesus. I accept you as my Lord

and Savior. Heal me, change me,

strengthen me in body, soul and

spirit. Come Lord Jesus,

cover me with your precious blood,

and fill me with your Holy Spirit,

I love you Jesus. I praise you Jesus.

I thank you Jesus. I shall follow you

 every day of my life.

Amen.

How to make a Confession:

Before confession:  Pray, Examine your conscience.

Be sorry for your sins and make up your mind not to sin again (at least not to commit

mortal sins again).

1. Kneel down - priest begins with sign of the cross and a blessing.

2. You say “bless me father for I have sinned, it has been  # months since my last confession, these are my sins…
(tell your sins by kind and number. Hold nothing back, you can even tell venial sins.)

3. You say “I am sorry for these and all the sins of my past life, and I ask pardon of God and penance of you, Father”.

4. Priest talks and then will give you penance.

5. You the Penitent makes an Act of Contrition:

After leaving the confessional, say or perform the penance the priest assigned you and also thank God

for the wonderful graces received in confession.  He has pardoned our sins no matter how detestable.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Adolph Hyla image

1.  Using ordinary rosary beads, begin with the Sign of the Cross, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, and The Apostle's Creed.

2.  Then, on the Our Father Beads, say the following:

"Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world."

3.  On the 10 Hail Mary Beads, say the following:

"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world."

(Repeat step 2 and 3 for all five decades).

Conclude with (3 times):

"Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world."

Our Lord said to Blessed Faustine:

Unceasingly recite this chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death ... Priest will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this chaplet even once, will receive grace from My infinite mercy (687) ... Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls who will recite this chaplet (848) ... Through the chaplet you will obtain anything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will (1731) ... I want the whole world to know My infinite mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My mercy (687).
