This We Believe
Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
The Father, the Almighty;
Maker of heaven and earth,
Of all that is seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
The only Son of God,
Eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God,
Light from Light,
True God from true God,
Begotten, not made,
One in Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven:

By the power of the Holy Spirit
He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
In fulfillment of the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven
And is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
To judge the living and the dead,
And his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Lord, the giver of life,
Who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
And the life of the world to come.

The Ten Commandments
I am the Lord your God; you shall not have strange gods before me.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
Remember to keep holy the Lord's day.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not kill.

The Great Commandments

The Trinity
By the Blessed Trinity we mean one and the same God in three distinct Divine persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Sacraments
A Sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Christ to give grace. The Sacraments are: Baptism, Confirmation, Penance, Eucharist, Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick.

The Seven Capital Sins
PRIDE ... Unrestrained appreciation of our own worth.
GREED ... Immoderate desire for earthly goods.
LUST ... Longing for impure pleasures.
ANGER ...Inordinate desire for revenge.
GLUTTONY ... Unrestrained use of food and drink.
ENVY ... Sorrow over another's good fortune.
SLOTH ... Laxity in keeping the Faith and the practice of virtue, due to the effort involved.
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, Fear of the Lord.
The Fruits of the Holy Spirit
Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Long-suffering, Humility, Fidelity, Modesty, Continence, Chastity.
Spiritual Works of Mercy
To counsel the doubtful.
To instruct the ignorant.
To admonish the sinner.
To comfort the sorrowful.
To forgive all injuries.
To bear wrongs patiently.
To pray for the living and the dead
Corporal Works of Mercy
To feed the hungry.
To give drink to the thirsty.
To clothe the naked.
To shelter the homeless.
To visit the sick.
To visit the imprisoned.
To bury the dead.

The Beatitudes
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

The Laws of the Church
To assist at Mass on all Sundays and holy days of obligation.
To fast and abstain on the days appointed.
To confess our sins at least once a year.
To receive Holy Communion during the Easter time.
To contribute to the support of the Church.
To observe the laws of the Church concerning marriage.
